Razorfrog Web Design

A remote WordPress development role focused on client site maintenance and rebuilds. The client work is under NDA, but here’s what I was working on.

A good chunk of the work involved keeping client sites healthy — plugin and theme updates through WP admin and ManageWP, with manual visual regression testing before and after to make sure nothing broke in the process. I also did some full legacy site rebuilds using the Bricks builder theme, Automatic CSS, and SASS, which was a fun change of pace from straight custom development.

EpicNotion Inc

A web developer role at a Charlotte-based digital agency where I supported a range of WordPress and Shopify client sites. Most of the client work here falls under NDA, so I’m not able to showcase specific projects — but here’s a summary of the kind of work I was doing day-to-day.

I collaborated with a Technical Lead and Account Managers through Agile sprint practices, handling everything from routine maintenance and SEO improvements to custom ACF and React Gutenberg block development. A big part of the role was also evaluating sites and putting together actionable recommendations based on performance, accessibility, and best practices data — which meant I was constantly digging into Lighthouse reports and figuring out where things could be better.

WebDevStudios

ToyInsider website

This was my first site build while working at WebDevStudios, and honestly one of the most intense projects I’ve been a part of. My team took it from design handoff all the way to a successful client launch in about three months.

My main contributions were building out ACF blocks and page templates from Figma designs, then putting them through their paces in QA — testing for functionality, accessibility, and load times across devices. That whole project was a big growth moment for me as a developer.

It’s Supernatural website

This was a large collaborative rebrand of the Messianic Vision website, done in partnership with an outside media group in 2021. It was the first major WordPress site I was part of maintaining and working on, and after many rounds of revisions we launched a modern, mobile-friendly redesign that the team was really proud of.

My role leaned more toward the feedback and testing side of things — design review, user acceptance testing, plugin compatibility, and payment processor testing. It gave me a solid foundation in what it actually takes to ship a large site safely, and made me a much more thorough tester going forward.

NTN Math website

(Note: Archive link — the design has since been updated after 2020.)

This was my first full site project, where I was the sole developer on a full redesign of the company website. I worked directly with management to restructure the site hierarchy and curriculum media, then built the whole thing out using Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

It was a real learn-as-you-go experience — working through design revisions, documenting my code as I went, and figuring out how to translate what management had in their heads into something that actually worked on screen. Looking back, it set a lot of habits I still carry today.
